Getting computers into the hands of children
As our Edu-Tourism initiative places computers in Jamaica's basic schools, we are still aware of the gaps that exist at the primary school level. Non-profits and governments each have roles to play in filling this widening gap. With this in mind, it is heartening to learn of initiatives at MIT to manufacture inexpensive laptops that can be ordered in bulk and brought in by governments. AP coverage from CNN.com
